Mercian Summer League Round 3
 

Firstly, I would like to thank all the swimmers, poolside helpers and parents for attending last nights gala especially as England were playing in the quarter finals of the World Cup. With limited swimmers in the 14 year old girls and boys and Open Ladies age groups, the team achieved a well deserved third place. The 10 year old boys and girls gained all 1^st and 2^nd places in their individual and relay events.  A pat on the back for the 12 year old boys and girls who not only had to swim in their own age group but as 14 year olds as well!  Well done to the 14 year old swimmers who swam up in the Open age group and held their own, especially Lauren Kazee, who won two out of her three individuals and never gave up!  Tom Minchin, Sian Whittingham and Daniel Badger also deserve a mention for their great swims in and out of their age groups.
